Michelle Caldwell Thompson is the Founder and Principal Broker of CTI Real Estate, an independent firm she established in 2004. CTI Real Estate specializes in Residential Sales, Bank and Trust Services, REO/Default Management, Commercial Leasing, and Property Management. Under her guidance, CTI Real Estate, with a dedicated team of nearly 70 professionals, has grown to become the largest African American-owned Real Estate Firm in Planning District 16, which includes Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline counties, and the City of Fredericksburg. A passionate advocate for workforce development, Michelle dedicates her time to tutoring high school students, offering internships, and providing business etiquette training for individuals re-entering the workforce after challenging experiences. As a licensed Real Estate Instructor in Virginia, she teaches licensing and continuing education courses for both aspiring and seasoned real estate professionals. CTI Real Estate is distinguished not only by its sales success but also by its strong commitment to community engagement, having raised nearly $100,000 in scholarships for high school graduates pursuing trade school or college since its inception.
With leadership experience dating back to the early 1990s, Michelle's influence extends beyond her business. She serves on the Board of Managers for the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation and the Advisory Board for Link Bank. In January 2025, she will become the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, making history as the first African American to hold this position in the Chamber's over 100-year history. A strong advocate for activism and volunteerism, Michelle has received numerous accolades, including the John J. Wright Museum’s Community TORCH Award, the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors’ GOOD NEIGHBOR Award, the Greater Fredericksburg Black Chamber of Commerce’s MENTOR OF THE YEAR Award, and the Chamber Network of Enterprising Women’s LAURIE A. WIDEMAN Award, as well as the Prince B. Woodard LEADERSHIP AWARD. Her leadership roles include Past President of the Greater Rappahannock (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and former President of the Fredericksburg Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. She remains an active member of the Rappahannock Area Rotary Club, the National Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Residential Property Managers. A sought-after speaker, Michelle has appeared on various radio shows, including “Healthy, Wealthy & Wise” and “Beyond the Bling,” and has spoken at events such as the UMW Women’s Colloquium and NAACP gatherings. Outside of her professional life, Michelle and her husband, Troy, who have been married since the early 1990s, are proud parents of three and delighted grandparents. They enjoy traveling with friends and fellow Florida A&M University (FAMU) alumni to college football games and historical sites.

I do not see information about the $35 registration fee for virtual event on December 6-7, 2024 Executive Board Meeting.
