Warren Secretary of the Episcopal Committee for the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Quadrennials, Director of Lay Activities of the Connectional Lay Organization. It is with sadness that the family of Mrs. Florence J. Warren, a lifelong member of the St Stephen AME Church, Wilmington, NC announce her passing. Sister Warren transitioned Sister on Monday, September 12, 2022.
Sister Florence loved God, her family, Church family and the Connectional A.M.E. Church. Sister Warren served as the secretary of the Episcopal Committee for the 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Quadrennials, Director of Lay Activities of the Connectional Lay Organization. She was elected numerous times as a delegate to the General Conference. On the District level, Sister Warren served as 2nd Vice President of the SED Lay Organization, Director of Lay Activities for the SED, on the Conference level she served as President of North Carolina Conference Lay Organization and the past President of her local Church Lay Organization for many years. At the time of her passing she was currently serving as the 1st Vice President of the SED Lay Organization.
